engine reduce power

i have a 2007 chevy hhr 2.4 once in the past this light has come on and dropped my speed to about 25, turned off radio and gps. it was the battery
the light has once again come on
my battery, and alternator are testing good
its pulling code p0010, p0011, p0641
which has to do with the intake camshaft sensor.
is that sensor causing enough damage to make the car go into reduce power or do you think there is another issue?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

" intake camshaft sensor" - do you actually mean "intake camshaft position actuator solenoid"?

If so, there is a write up in the "HOW-TO" section replacing them - it's an easy job.

Here's whopper's "How To" thread on the camshaft solenoids...

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/camshaft-position-actuator-solenoid-valve-replacement-w-pics-p0010-11-p0013-14-a-28779/

The P0641 code is "5 Volt Reference Voltage Incorrect"

Which can be any of the following.

- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
- ECM harness is open or shorted
- ECM circuit poor electrical connection
- Shorted sensor on 5 volt circuit

But it may be related to a bad solenoid, so I'd address them first, then clear the codes to see if the P0641 pops up again.

P.S. to the forum.
