Contacted the suggested junkyard and he stated it doesn't matter whether the donor is drilled or not. Good to know.

Ahhhh, relief now get that engine swapped out and start running your HHR, careful of your torque settings and replacing all the ground wires and sensor connectors

I do not know the history of the vehicle, whether it overheated, etc. I purchased it 6-8 weeks ago from the previous owner, in and aware of its current condition. He had no interest in resolving the problem.

The motor I was considering, was sold out from under me. Ended up with a 95k 2.2, which cost me an additional $100.

To add to this conversation, compatibility with the 2.4 liter?
i have an 07 2.2 and I just put a 2.2 vvt out of a 2010 I took the whole subframe out of the 2010 tranny engine and all. Then put in mine I am facing anti theft issues now but I think I will get it to work I will let u know if I do
