Hi Rolly, I moved this to a new thread, didn't seem to be related to that other thread.
Are there any CEL(OBD2) codes stored? You may need to go to your local Parts Palace and have them check for you. There are many guesses why it is hard to start, but if there are codes, it would really narrow it down, and save you a lot of money, instead of throwing parts at guesses.

This is old but it's worth the time to post.
When your GM vehicle begins to take time to start as in you have to crank the engine for a few seconds, it could be rusted fuel lines. The fuel pressure will leak down and it takes time for the pump to build pressure again. The quick test is to turn the key to on and wait for 10 seconds before turning it to start. This allows the fuel pump to run and build pressure before starting. If it starts quickly after doing this, you have a fuel leak on the lines. They are very thin and made of poor material that rusts easily. IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. The fuel pump is in the tank and pumps the pressure in the line to 60 psi. The slow leak will get bigger and can spray fuel under the vehicle onto the hot exhaust starting a fire while driving.
If a fire starts you need to shut the key off as soon as possible to stop the fuel pump. When the line rusts through in one spot it is likely to be rusted in several places and should be completely replaced or scrap the vehicle.

The more typical cause is a vacuum leak, may times caused by a bad EVAP purge valve. Sometimes leaves no code.
A rusted fuel line will usually give a code.

We'll probably never know in this case. Not only did OP not respond, he never even came back to look for our suggestions.
