Exhaust problem - now what do I do?
While not very clear with the exact nature of the problem... My guess that the failure is at the flex joint, not the manifold.
Nor was anything said about which engine. They are different.
Clarify this and maybe some can help more.

I'm amazed that this exchange even occurred. It takes the IQ or plant life to diagnose an exhaust problem. All you have to do is get under the car and look. Any leaks that are loud enough to hear will be blatantly obvious. On a cold start, feel around for the leak. if you can't immediately see it.

Found out problem. Flex pipe busted. Did not run over anything, no stunt driving and engine is a 2.4L 2007. Part ended up being covered under warranty. Lucky for me I asked price for part at GM dealership. They asked how many KM I had and told me I was covered under warranty. 2 GM mechanics could not locate problem for an hour. Wanted to start charging me to continue. I said forget and went to a different dealership. Which ended up being the one who saved my bacon. Very upset with my vehicle and the way GM Canada is looking at my list of issues since new. Only willing to offer 5% towards new vehicle and incentives. What bull **** for buying a new vehicle with issues beginning at 7600km. I wish there was a lemon law. They think I'm abusing my vehicle. Would it not be logical to buy a 4x4. I've had issues with parts go bad twice. The dealership I bought my vehicle just closed as of Sept 30,2010. There must be a GOD to punish this dealership for selling me a lemon. I must have had 15 plus issues changed and continue. Can't find anyone to buy this lemon at the same time no other manufactures want any part of this vehicle. Just laugh. I guess I'm just going to just drive it into the ground.
