Fan not working.

I had My Check engine light come on recently and after a read it came up as a failed relay. I changed both the relay and the fuse for the cooling fan, but after reaching 220, turning on the AC, recirculating the air flow, it won't turn on and the engine light is still on. My next task is going to be wiring the fan directly to the battery(temporarily) to see if it still works at all.

If the fan runs, and has no bearing problems, what could be causing the problem?

Year and model are important in this case.

Welcome to the site, I got 2009 from your profile, I'm guessing SS, but no any cures until I know for sure!

I would guess a bad wire or a bad ground.

What is the code? It might tell you.

If it turns out to be the fan, its a very easy swap.
