Filler Cap Condensation

So I know condensation on the filler cap is normal, but I thought after some longer driving it usually burns up? I know this is the case in my Lumina... If I just drive it shorter distances in the winter it will get all sorts of condensation in the tube and on the cap, but after a little drive it will burn off....

Well during my road trip I noticed that the HHR had condensation, but this was after driving from Michigan to Kentucky. I then also noticed some when I got home and changed my oil (which was from Kentucky to Michigan).

Is it normal for there to be condensation after an 7 or 8 hour drive?

I don’t know pay much attention to your weather back in the “old” states, but could it have been frozen and only had the chance to thaw out? Anyway there is not much there to rust – it is all plastic.

By the way where are all those pictures of your conquests during spring break?

Don't know about the ice...good theory though, but it's been too warm for ice, GASP!

Ha ha, I did post a few pics of the car down there, and a few while driving. There's a thread in the Lounge of it...
