I can't imagine that a loose power train relay would disable the OBD2 port.
Don't think it did. We'll just have to wait and see if he comes back and answers some of the questions we ask him.
Since he was dealing with 2 separate issues( no crank and no OBD port power) there should be 2 separate fixes.
Depends on exactly what the reader was saying; if the code was lost communication it means one or more module has no power, if it just said can't connect that would be the fuse.
Well what can I say image it.
I checked 29 first and it was a solid yellow (20a)
After seating it back in its place is when I noticed repay slot #26 PWR/TRN was lifted on the right side so I seated it back. Looked thought that would be to easy, and after keying ignition immediately it started.
CEL disappeared from the dash to not flash anymore(lol) I hope (wetdreaming). So yes guys it can happen because that was my no start no communication no crank no start issue in a nutshell.
If anything in life has taught me that the value of community is just as strong as family if not more. I thank each and every brotha that steered me in the direction of fuse 29. Even though that was not the culprit it led me right to the source. It would have not been possible for my novice self to have account this on my own. Cheers and Beers to All!
