fob not working, could it be......
I have a new to me 08 panel LS.
Someone was into the driver's side door panel and did not reconnect the plugs for the power mirror, door locks and what ever else.
Question is, would these items left unplugged prevent my fob from working? Replaced the battery today and nothing.

Welcome!
That would be pretty easy to test.
Just remove the 2 torx screws in the door pull and pry the panel up from the rear. There is a tongue that fits in the front and a couple of tabs around it. Then plug everything back in.
Did you set the DIC settings? Thats in the Owners Manual, if you need one follow the link in my sig.
The way things work in a panel are a little different from what I know. Maybe somebody else can help more.

Welcome to the site
I would think that if just one door was unplugged the other doors would still work with the fob.
Take you fob to a part store like autozone, advanced, pep boys. They have a tester on the counter to test key fobs. Make sure you try all the buttons.
At least you will know if it's the fob or the car.

Update, plugging everything back in did not work, so dealership it is I guess.
Tested both fobs with new battery, nada.
Question, reading about getting remote start to function, some folks did it themselves and ran into issues. After disconnecting the battery, the remote start function worked. Could this type of reset work with the fob?
