front end clunks
front end clunks
Hello
I have a clunk in the front end on my 2006 HHR that I can't seem to find where its coming from. I've replaced lower control arms(bushings were shot) and sway bar links. This took some of the clunk away. Now there is still something making noise. After it's driven a few miles the noise seems to go away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

... and check out Donbrews post - lots of good info there - https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...g-pop-s-50648/
Mine turned out to be rear LCA bushings, this time!
And one time upper strut bearings,
And another time sway bar links, that's when I replaced the bushings too!
The dreaded front end clunks can come and go, but then after 215,000 miles a lot of stuff wears out!
