Front Sway Bar Bushings - Repair Shop/Person Recommendation
Great news, you had them done! The Quick struts are 6 fasteners per side , it’s the lifting out the old and placing in the new that’s bad for me, thankfully my neighbor Dan is a body builder and great guy!
As Bette sang , You got to have friends!
And Ringo , got by with a little help from his friends!
Enjoy the ride!

Always have help from "real friends". You can always recognize the real ones because their backs aren't facing you as they run the other way, always facing you and stepping up whether you swallow your pride and ask for help or not. I have a few that are always there for me.
I received my struts from Rock Auto and put them on last Saturday relatively easy without help with a break in between each side. Made a difference - not as much noise but still there.
My Motor/Tranny mounts came yesterday morning. Followed your threads and a youtube - got them done easy but had to take my time because being on the ground on my back is an adventure... Clunking noise is gone now but main noise is still there. Right upper mount was about an inch compressed and the Tranny mounts showed compression wear as well.
Doing my passenger side CV Shaft and Hub next Saturday. May have to ask a friend to help pull the old shaft out.The noise I think is a combination bad Hub/CV Joint. It all started when the Passenger side control arm went and the HHR was sitting wrong. Noise only happens under 25 mph. Over that the ride is as smooth as glass and no noise.
How tough is it to pull the Axle out of the Tranny and what is the piece that I have supposedly have to transfer from the old shaft onto the new? I can't seem to find a picture of the piece. My HHR is a 2009 2.2LS.

Hey OldBlue - is the "stub shaft" the piece that "gets reused"? If it is stuck in the tranny is that ok to put the axle on? Or does it have to come out, placed on the axle, then the whole assembly put in the tranny? (First time doing front wheel drive axles-just passenger side for now).
Got the parts from Rock Auto - shaft and hub. The weekend is supposed to be nice. Excited to do the work - just a little nervous.
