Front Wheel bearing Inquiry
I just called in 2 repair shops - the GM dealer and an advanced private car service. Both tell me that the replacement of the bearing is not possible. Replacing only the "hub assembly", the entire unit as a whole.

Thus, the dependence of the ABS is present. If you watch the picture, you'll see:
hub "without ABS" - a simple piece of iron;

Hub "has ABS "- a piece of iron + plastic superstructure, some connectors and wire.

You will have to adapt the hub "has ABS", it means - breaking a plastic superstructure.
You know, it is not advisable. Hub "without ABS" is cheaper, buy it and not torment your head.
Pick out the bearing from the hub, too, do not advise. You'll have to use a saw, but no significant savings in money.
Good luck.

Don't you just love it. GM screwed everybody on all their cars and trucks. I have replaced my silverado 3 times. Twice on the left front and right front. 4 wheel drive. Only 75000 miles the first time. They had a recall on this also but was past miles. My brother's 2oo2 blazer has been replaced twice on both fronts, two drive. When we had to pack bearings you never heard of this. It was a hell of lot cheaper to do back then also. I am done with GM products.
I just bought Timkins for mine from RockAuto at about $120 each. Got them shipped right to my door and getting ready to do hubs, brakes, links, and struts this weekend. No reason to spend more than you have to. Especially at the dealer.
Trailvoy.com has running thread where members post discount codes (usually 5% off). Rock Auto encourages sharing of these discount codes.

BTW, "National" branded bearings come from Federal-Mogul, just like "MOOG" does. So I am kind of skeptical about people that say "get MOOG not cheap Chinese" for suspension parts then say "don't buy the cheap Chinese bearings from Advance (National)"
Is Federal-Mogul a big enough company to be reputable?
Or, are we saying ALL Asian made parts are junk, except the ones that are more expensive. I paid $11 + shipping for "National" branded bearings from a guy on the internet, I just checked RockAuto is selling the last 6 (non-ABS) for this same price, last week when I checked they wanted $118. They are also advertising that the Timken part has ball bearings ($112), I don't know about that as the OEM is roller.

Rock auto - a very cool company. And she real professional and not expensive.
There's even a working Russian-speaking manager - as you know, for me it is very important.
But ... This is a great company does not use USPS. Thus, dear Shipping eats all the Advantages. So sad ..
Hey! anasbio!
Where have you gone? You decided your problem about the bearing?
all of us very interesting

Originally you said the problem was local supplier could only get ABS type. If you can get stuff from Amazon, you can get it from other sources on the Internets. Pretty expensive experiment!

You never did say, is the car in Iraq? Or just you?
