I see this is an older thread, but maybe someone will see this new post.
I'm having the same issue with replacing my fuel lines and struggling with getting these line clips open. The pictures are a great help, but mine won't budge! What's the secret (correct) way to get these open?
If I can't get them open, I can't finish installing the lines. All help appreciated.
Thanks, Rich

If the pictures in #12 and #18 don't help, I'm afraid there is no hope. You need to get something in there to pop the clicky thingie.

Don,
The pictures are a great help. I've inserted a small straight blade screw driver in to push the retainer barb to one side and used another to pry between where I think it should open but it's not budging a bit. Guess I'll just have to break it or cut if it won't open. I was hoping I was going about it incorrectly and there was an easier way.
Thanks much, Rich

Warn it up with a heat gun or hair dryer. Get it good and warm. Blow all dirt and grim off.

Mine broke on the hinge side, and I swapped out the lines, it went back together and stayed in place.
