Wrong place to post. Not enough info. etc.

So much more info needed.
What are the symptoms?
Do you have a Check Engine light on, or has it been on recently?
How many miles on your HHR?
Do you run it until it's empty frequently, or keep less than 1/8 of a tank often?
The more detail, the better, even if it sounds silly or unrelated.
P.S. to the forum!

Could it hold out 1 more week? Certainly - you might be able to drive it for a year or more like that. However you also might not be able to make it out of your driveway!!!
Get it changed asap before it strands you somewhere, if it will even go anywhere.

Yeah, unfortunately it could go 50 miles or 50 feet, and when they poop out...they just quit on you.
The pump is located in the tank and it's "fuel cooled" for the lack of a better explanation, which is why I asked about driving with the tank close to empty a lot. When the fuel level is low, the pump will tend to overheat and fail.
A good rule of thumb is not to let your tank get below 1/4 for extended periods.
If you're mechanically inclined, or just want to see what's involved in doing the job, check out this "How To" thread.....
