Instead of just replacing the fuse, you should test the old one still in the fuse box. Either a test light or multi-meter.

Is GoOgle broken in GA?
You said it didn't return anything about the fuses.

You don't really NEED to remove the door panel. Once you get the 2 screws out in the cup you can pop the cup out if you are careful. One end has a tab that goes under the arm rest the other end has a tab. The wires are rather short though. I don't remember which end is which, but I bet GoOgle would produce a bunch of images. It is called "hhr door cup" or "hhr door pull".

Yeah my test light quit working and I don't have a multimeter.... but thanks for the suggestion.
I spent three hours watching videos here last night on replacing doors and switches and adding extra lighting to the interior.... lots of stuff once you put in the correct question.

Test light and multi-meter should be your next purchase. Can't really do any electrical trouble shooting without them.

x2 what FMG says about the necessity of a test light and multi-meter. Messing with power without them can lead to some nasty damage.

yeah up to about three months ago I had both. A basic test light and a high dollar multimeter. My test light got broke; and my multimeter started 'rattling" so I took it apart and found out a resistor had come off inside - so it was 'dead'.
I'll probably swing by auto Zone and have them test it for now.
I am guessing it's the switch. I checked the fuse and it didn't "look' blown. Of course I see they the lid of the fuse box comes with one spare fuse of each size ; so I put in the "new" fuse and still I got nothing. SO it's looking more and more like the switch.

You can save lots of $ at Harbor Freight. A decent DVOM for $7 or less. Mine works just as good as my Fluke, only difference is it's not auto-ranging, great for a toolbox.
