Fuse/Relay
I need help/advice please
I was jumping my husbands car using my hhr and the cable disconnected touching the metal and everything shut off now my car won't start, all lights turn on and the car makes a clicking sound but it doesn't start. this is the second time this happens I paid $200 for a $5 dollar fuse that was replaced and im hoping its the same case but I dont know which fuse it is. and I cant afford to pay a mechanic again.
can someone give me ideas please. I really need my car

Did you read the directions for jumping? Where did you attach the cables in the HHR? That box under the hood is not a battery.
I bet you attached the red wire to the front connection on that box and the black lead to the back connection. If this is true you at least blew the power steering fuse, possibly did major damage to the car. The power steering fuse is #1 in the under hood fuse box.
There is a link in my sig to FREE Owner Manuals that have the directions for jumping. They also have a fuse box diagram (the same one printed on the other side of the fuse box cover).
If it is not the power steering fuse the internet is no help, you will need a mechanic.
