It's different on the 08 SS for some reason. 40 and 50 are empty

Well if it's not, that 90$ fee will start looking cheap, eh?

I probably could have helped you with this. I have over 16 years GM dealership experience as an electrical/drivability technician. Calling a dealer a "stealer" might give you the warm fuzzies on this board, but it won't get you any help from me.

Cheers.

I have no problem call a dealership a 'stealership' when it's accurate. Everything is inflated. Hell, I found the control module online brand new for $112. The dealership wanted over $240...

Sure. Shipping included? What if that's not what's wrong? How will the warranty work out if it fails? Who pays the shipping to return the part? Sometimes people fail to see the difference between value and cost.

It just never ceases to amaze me how much money some people will spend trying to "save" some money, then, when all else fails they bring it to me. Then I'm supposed to work for free because they already spent all their money on guesses. Whatever.

Look if it fixes your problem you'll be ahead, and that's great. All I am is letters on a screen.

Yup. Doesn't change whether I'm right or wrong though does it?

Like I said, just letters on a screen. No sense getting worked up over it. Have a good evening, and good luck with your "stupid POS". I hope you get it figured out.

Oh please, with no codes the dealership would only start with the basics and go from there. They would look for blown fuses and such and if those were ok, the fan control module or the fan itself, or both. If that didn't fix it they would still charge for it and just keep looking.

Solman98... just where do you suggest they start? In the middle and only charge half? How would you do it if you ran the dealership?

re" "stealership" term - I am not affiliated with any dealer in any way, but I find that term is a wee bit offensive - especially when we have people like ChevyMgr and Michelle here offering assistance. When I see that term, I too am not exactly anxious to offer any help.
