Gurgling Noise

I have a gurgling noise coming from the right side of the dash. I have seen the discussion of it before on this site but am unable to find it again. Any suggestions?

Probably the heater core. You may have low coolant.

Why does no one check their coolant level? I was guilty until I found the flashlight from the driver side trick. If it's a 2006 it is even butt simpler.
