Replaced both the intake actuator and the exhaust last night. Easy to replace once the air box is removed. Mine has 3 torx (25) screws, the two front ones are a real pain. I had to trim an allen wrench as there was not enough space to get a torx bit in the screw. Works great so far, cleared the CEL and so far has not returned. Seems to run much stronger but that might just be my imagination. I used the actuators with the superceded part numbers which did look different than the original. Sure appreciate your posts, certainly made things much easier to make the repair.

Yes it has happened before. The sensors were replaced. Try using the search facility at the top of the page and look for other instances of the P0017 code in the forums here. If you are looking for further information or advice please open a new thread rather than hijack this one which covers a different issue.

LOL - just did one - 95% left on the current one. :)

Had to change it as someone on this forum THOUGHT about asking yet another "what is the best oil to use"- and I picked up on it. Dang - I am broke again.

hey guys, i have a 2006 2.4 2lt since it was new it has 173,000 miles, i just put a new ac delco TCM (transmission control module) and a re flash by my local Chevy dealer. It seemed to help for a while but the hard shifting and my RPM's go up and down between 2k-3k, still continue. From reading the forums about this problem i thought It was a TCM. No codes have ever came up on the car or the traction control light never came on. I have not replaced the exhaust/intake solenoids because I have not had any codes. Any suggestions?
