Hard takeoff now P0010 code.

Had to accelerate faster than normal, had some torque steer, Then blew a P0010 code. This code is the first code listed in the diagnostics book. Do I have to go to the dealer for this? Car runs fine. Cleared the code but it came back a few days later.

Use the search function at the top of the page and look up the code you are getting. Read the sticky in the how-to section.

Thanx for the advice. That was the first thing I did was a search in the box above but it didn't find anything.

Odd - I put in P0010 in the search box above and there is quite a list, including the how-to article on replacing the actuator solenoid (5th one down the list).

Until we all get used to our shiny new custom Google linked Search function, not finding things right away is still possible, but it's a dang site better than the old Search function.

Here's the thread whopper is referencing.......

My P0010 (just scanned it today) code that I have had come and go for 9k miles, first came on when I floored it to avoid a careless driver at a gas station. It has come on and gone off on its own several times since then. What's the common trigger for this fault?

Same answer as above - use the SEARCH tool at the top of the page and look for "p0010". This subject has been discussed to death.
