Well, have you been replacing the socket every time it burns up or melts? How often is "keep"?

Come on, give us a bit more info that that. Have they damaged the headlight housing?

I've replaced the socket (pigtail) about 5 times with ones I got at a junkyard.

Have you checked the grounding with a VOM? If not, that would be the first step needed.

Only If you are using one of the high wattage bulbs then that might explain the issue - however it would mean problems with both left and right. So I'd suspect the ground for sure.

A bad ground will cause the socket to melt.
Used sockets can have the same problem .
perhaps splicing in a socket from Dorman or GM

Just to chime in, same problem My bulbs dont last. I know bulbs are rated by brightness and life span, and it is inversely proportional So do you want to see better at night or change bulbs less often. I have perfected bulb change. No need to remove as much as the book says.
