Headlight sensitivity?

I know there is no way to adjust how sensitive the lights are like I could in my GTO. I think they stay on too long when it is daylight out. I can get in the car at 10 am on a bright day and it takes quite a while for the auto lights to go off.
Has anyone tried to change the dark dome on the dashboard to a less tinted or clear one so the lights don't do that. It can be a bright sunny day and I can't read the DIC or the radio because it is dimmed because the lights are on.
Any one else feel my frustration? Any one have a fix or should I just live with it?

I've got the same thing going on, it seems like it got worse recently. Very annoying.

I know exactly what you mean.... I'd be afraid of messing with the sensor, my luck I'd screw it up and the lights would never come on or something!

I've noticed in the winter mine stays on longer than in the summer. Maybe it's the angle of the sun?

Just turn them off on the stalk. Quick, free fix. Works every time.
