Headlights acting weird
Headlights acting weird
I noticed that my driver's side headlight was off the last night when I arrived at my destination (if anyone has seen my other threads, I hit a bale of hay in the road with my HHR, but that was on the passenger side). I figured I had a burned-out bulb. However, when I went out a bit later to put something in the car, both headlights came on when I hit the remote to unlock it. Today, I got out of the car after driving and noticed that the daytime running lights were not on, on either side, and only the yellow lights came on when I hit the remote to lock and unlock the car. What could be causing all these intermittent problems under different conditions?
Over the holiday's, my FIL was behind me in his Trailblazer and I saw a headlight out. We got to our destination and I saw both on. I told him I could have sworn one was out earlier.
2 days later, he noticed it out again. The element must have bounced enough to light again. So it could still be the bulb. But I would look over the wiring good, with the other issues, somethings wrong.

Doesn't it turn on the high beams when you hit the remote to unlock? If so, the low beam bulb could still be out. What happens when you set the headlight switch to on? Do they both illuminate?
Oh and in daylight, only the parking lights flash when you unlock the car. The headlights turn on if it's dark out.

Low beam out
The low beam consistently doesn't work, the high beam works both when driving and when unlocking the car at night. I didn't realize that the high beam is what comes on when you unlock the car, and it only does it when it's dark. All is simple, and all is explained.
