my 2009 HHR headlights stay on or come on at anytime when the vehicle is off and parked. when I pull the relay in the fuse box under the the hood the lights go off. when I switch the low and high beam relay the lights still stayed on this leads me to believe that it's not a relay switch. help would be appreciated

 

Welcome to the site ruger1v, I don't know the answer to your cars condition, but don't worry there are lots of smart members, I just knot one of them...

 

My best internet guess would be the multi-function switch or a BCM. Dianostics need to be performed by a skilled technician. Or you could guess and start replacing parts.
