Heater Problem

I have a 2008 HHR "Princess" and today it was cold here in Dallas (18*) and my heater was working real good I turned it down some and it just started blowing full cold. Plenty of coolant and the fan is working fine but it is just blowing cold air. Any ideas? How hard is it to fix?
Thanks for any help and suggestions. Bruce

is there ice on the front cowl in front of the windshield? only reason I ask is I had the same problem, got all the ice off the cowl and it started working again. I guess water gets down there and freezes.

Coolant temp and level is fine and the heater was blowing me out. but when I turned it down I think the door inside or the control knob that actuates it broke because it now just blows cold air and there is no adjustment. The knob feels the same. I do not know if the door is electronically operated and maybe blew a fuse or what. The knob was not binding or anything unusual and no other problems with car that I know of. Pretty sure the door is stuck in the closed position but do not know how to fix it.
It is cold here in the United States of Texas right now blowing cold air!

Are you still under the 3/36 warranty?

Car has 54,000 miles and is out of warranty. Car may look hot but with no heater and 18* outside it is COLD! Lucky there is no precipitation or I would be in deep trouble.

Sounds like the blend door might be stuck, any ideas folks?

Yes, I think it is the blend door or the actuator that is messed up but how to fix?
