Height Issue/Lowering the seat.

I have had my HHR for 3 years now. My one recurring problem(besides the rotors and front end hardware) is that when I sit properly, I end up looking through the top 2" of the windshield. This means that I am also looking through the thickest part of the left door pillar as well. I have had a few near misses with things that 'hid' behind that pillar. I am 6' tall, but most of my height is in my torso. I have my seat all the way back, and all the way down. This is the powered seat.
Is there any way to lower the seat further?

Presently I have to slouch alot to feel like I am driving her safely, and on a long drive this gets painful.

Any and all positive ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

I'd love to see something along those lines, myself. I'm 6'4", with lots of torso too.

You could try lowering the rear bar where the seat bolts into. Lower the bar and that would lower the rear of the seat. Just thinking outside the box.

The seat bar is as low as it will go.It bolts to the body floorpan. I fabbed my own dropped/lowered seat bar for my SS. Dropped the rear of the drivers seat about 1 1/2 -2 inches.Look at the pictures in my gallery.

I looked at your gallery, I am a tall guy and would totally love to get one of these bars. But I have no metal shop and no tools. Anychance you would be willing to make a duplicate of that bar? then maybe sell me one?

Switch seat bases for the non powered..gives you another inch or 2..Hate driving my LS after the SS because I dont set as high and with the larger steering wheel its worse.. and the seat bleeds down after a short time..you loose the elect part but at your height it probably doesnt matter...once its set its done..
