Help! Need clarification on coil pack vs timing chain

Timing chain was done. Car still threw a misfire code. Today I had a leak down test done as well as my fuel injectors were tested. The car is running lean in cylinder two and cylinder four is just dumping fuel. The test showed that there are no vacuum leaks which is good, but I need to change those fuel injectors. In order to save money I need to do the fuel injectors myself. I am told that the ECM needs to be reprogrammed after the new fuel injectors are installed. I’d rather just pay for that since I don’t have access to any kind of reprogramming tools, but it looks like changing the fuel injectors will be as easy as doing spark plugs. I just need to know which ones are the most recommended to get but at the same time I need to save whatever money I can.
I changed the fuel injectors and didn’t have to do any ECM reprogramming.
I used AC Delco replacement for GM PN 12606110, an easy replacement . They turn out to be the same for the 2.4 or 2.2, through superseded part numbers.
You can also clean out the old injectors, but I recommend replacing them

I changed the fuel injectors and didn’t have to do any ECM reprogramming.

Thank you so very much for your reply. If they are as easy as spark olugs, then i can do it no problem. I just don’t want to run i to issues with not having a good seal and leaking furl. If you know of any helpful videos, please send them my way. I found ine on YouTube but the guy did not show removal and installation.

Also, Apparently the need to reprogram the ECM is based on a TSB that was published about this particular make model and year
TSB 08-06-04-001B refers to 2006-2007 HHR 2.4L for your EXACT symptoms I.E.: DTC P0171,P0300or P1174 set.
The reason for the recalibration is the injectors are a different (upgraded) part number. Be sure to get the upgraded part 12625029. You might want to take a copy of the TSB with you, it has special instructions for the technician. There is a need for some additional parts; the cups and seals.
Too bad your drive train warranty is no longer in effect. This is NOT a recall or special warranty, just advice to the technician.
You might find a shop with access to TIS2WEB other than a GM dealership.

This is insane. Shop wants 600.00 for parts and labor without the reprogramming of the ecm. I don’t have that kind of money, nor do i have the option of buying another car. Im beyond frustrated..

Dealership technicians tend to get all snarky when us lowly drivers come in with print outs. Unfortunately, they also refuse to do the research for themselves.
I have had a service advisor tell me "that's not my job" when I handed him an official GM TSB, on letterhead.
