Help-what have i done?
Thank goodness that the dealership and their installer made the mistakes. You have to feel relieved that you didn't have to pay for it.
I know from the dealerships I have worked at, some of the installers are pretty bad...

I'd like to know who tasted the mystery oil to determine it was peanut, and if this is a regular practice when finding leaks under the hood. I don't think they teach that in mechanics class, do they?
The wires are made with peanut oil. Its not a mystery oil for finding leaks.
The dealership isn't claiming resposnibility, they are saying it was the company who installed the moonroof. All in all, I feel pretty lucky to have a new gauge cluster and a fully functional car.
I'll be putting in the silver face after I get it back from Black cat customs. They want to check the LED visibility behind the warning lights and the turn signals because i thought it was a little 'too see through'.

No telling what the hell would have fried under the right conditions.
Maybe you should try a Volkswagen dealer
