to the forum rogerb29n!

An airbag light means that the system has identified a fault, take it in to have it checked as soon as possible, its a safety issue and shouldn't be ignored or put off. Whether the light illuminates continuously or flashes on and off, have the vehicle checked A.S.A.P.

Mine seems to have an issue with one of the connectors under the passenger seat. The light came on one day and I looked under the seat and a bottle had rolled up under the plugs. I pushed all of the plugs back on and it was fine. But if something goes under that seat, the issue comes back. You may just want to look and make sure that nothing is up under the seat shorting out a wire...just a thought.

Odds are high resistance is a wire. Note it can also include the seat belts too as they are considered to be part of the system and are tied into the light.

Note too that GM has had issues with the seat belt harnesses and connectors. They have had to replace many for this reason. Temps and humidity can effect them too. Mine would work fine in the AM when it was cold but after sitting in the sun in the PM it would come on and go off later in the night. They replace my harness for the belts and it was fixed.

Here is the link of similiar problem I have with my 2009 Panel. The dealer wants me to bring it over when it is on and not to shut it off, so they can get diagnostics. It hasn't came on again since. I am sure it will happen again when i am far from home or when they aren't open, Bear

We had the airbag thing under Bob Lutz rtn at one point so at least it has it's own title.

We did that once with mine and then the tech just changed the harness for the belts once it came back on.

Odds are that is what you will need them to do. My dealer was proactive on this and you may have to twist their arm to be the same way. It can only be a couple of things and they will have to replace them step by step to fix it as it will not just get better on it's own.
