HHR SS pads and rotors don't fit

Hi, I ordered front calipers, rotors and pads (Max Elite ecoated slotted drilled) for my 2008 HHR SS. My mechanic rightly pointed out that they don't fit. I believe it was my mistake in that I ordered for the LT. Probably not recommended, but, though the rotors and calipers are not for the SS, can they nevertheless be installed? I do realize that the diameter is less. They are great quality, I don't want the hassle of a return, the car is 12 years old, will be sold in the spring.

Thanks!

Oh sure, they likely can fit - IF you want to buy different caliper mounts, change the calipers etc. etc..

No, they don't fit. End of story.

LS/LT rotors are smaller in diameter, the caliper pistons are larger , it would be better if you ordered the correct parts and either returned or sold the incorrect parts

In the "My Garage" on Amazon, I've got 3 or 4 different vehicles. Seems I didn't change it from 2009 HHR LT. I had that vehicle entered because I was looking for some one piece strut assemblies, versus the separate parts the SS required. User error.

Then you could use the wrong SS brakes on your correct LS/LT , no loss
