How do you fix Mirror Lamp light bulbs?
Today I noticed the rear view mirror lamp lights were on well after I turned the car off. I also noticed the rear reading lamp was also on even though it was switched to the door position.
Earlier I did slam the door and am wondering if I could've triggered something to malfunction.
Anyway, I was able to turn off the rear reading light, but the rear view mirror lamps would not turn off. They were on for a long time and the bulbs were very hot! So I could not put my fingers on them to figure out how to take them out. Before I used my head, I popped the lamps. Instead I should have just pulled out the wires from the rear view mirror assembly. Now I have broken mirror lamps and cannot figure out how to fix them. Does anybody know? Thanks for any advice.

You mean you broke the lamps? Oh man - that is definitely the wrong way.
To get the old bulbs out, you need to pull the fuse for the lights (the information is in your owners manual - and it really sounds like you need to read it, as there is a section in it on how the map lights work with their delayed illumination feature).
Once you pull the fuse, you should be able to use a pair of needle-nosed pliers or a pair of forceps to pull the bases out.
Do not attempt to remove them without removing the fuse!!!
