Hello fellow HHR lovers New to forum & really need your feedback. Have a 2006 Chevy HHR 2LT that's acting like a wayward child! 2 nights ago while driving, battery light came on..then T/C lt...then check engine light...then ABS light all almost simultaneously! If not enough, the radio started making funny noises, stopped playing (radio display lts flickered but stayed on), & a/c would go off & on. Over past 60 days, I've had a/c condensor, compressor, battery, & camshaft position sensor replaced.

Guessing alternator is at death's door; so I researched/ordered new one online (praying it fits--will receive 7/18/12). My brother is installing the new alternator but, I can't find instructions/pics describing how to do it (all equipment is factory installed). HOPING THERE'S A HHR GURU OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP

Remove belt, remove bolts, unbolt power wire, and if needed pulley....reverse order

Unsure if you have 2.2 or 2.4, but on 2.0 its a total BI*** to remove!!!

 

Disconnect battery before you do any work! Don't want to short out anything.

 

It's a 2.4

I take the car to my local mechanic and pay him to do it.. (That is how I do it)
