You say it's under the steering column, which is on the driver side. But then you say it's on the passenger side.

Bingo! that seems to be where the leak is coming from. I apologize for no photos, wouldn't have been good ones anyways. But it's the same as the photos Oldblue posted in his thread link. Not sure if the shop with use the fitzall they should know and I assume they have a seal or kit that wont have problems again. Only problem for me is I have to drive the car this week.

You can drive it, and you tell them you want the fitzallkit or the national seal kit, it’s your wallet. Ask if you order the parts will they install it.

Update
Took it in to the local Chevy dealer, they confirmed that is where the leak was coming from and replaced it with
seal kit 6.061 Y which is the national seal kit mentioned.
part # 24203910 $43

Two days later and there is a small leak on the concrete where the last spot was just not as big. There weren't any leaks for a few days, but after driving it the spot shows up again, just smaller. I called and they want me to bring it back in. Maybe they put the wrong seal on which I doubt or something wrong with the shaft like too much play. Or like oldblue said the fitzall by techpack is the one to use...not really sure at this point. I wonder if there is something inside the case that is the problem.

I noticed it started leaking two weeks ago, I hit a speed bump not faster than the limit but it had a larger bump, and was a hard underneath and thinking that did it.

The passenger side seal has always been a problem, that’s why the fitzall kit was developed
