Trans fluid can leak as can coolant both could be in the area you described
you are correct!

Update, the Chevy service center, said that the seal is dry but noticed fluid in the compartment and the water pump is leaking and said I need a new water pump. I told him the fluid on the cement looked slightly brown not orange and feels oily and not watery. I check the coolant levels and in the reserve and it's full. He said it doesn't need to be replaced immediately. They should have noticed this the first time as they did replace the shaft seal. I'm just wondering if I really need to replace the pump or if there is a seal on that would present a leak or if the coolant filler pipe is the issue?

If the coolant level doesn’t drop, drive it!

^^ This! ^^

An occational little dribble from the water pump seal is not a defect. Sometimes it just stops. Been there.

Too often, that little dribble leads to an expensive replacement of a good OEM pump that would has lasted another 100K with a cheap POS that fails quickly.

Keep an eye on it, and check the coolant recovery tank level when you chack the oil level,, which you do at each fillup anyway, right?

It's more than just a little dribble and it's everyday, but the coolant level in the reserve hasn't went down much, in the plastic refill tank only about an inch., i'm looking at part # ASCBWP-9228, if that works? I have to replace it when I have time and need to get it done before cold weather sets in.

Checking the level in the overflow reservoir tank means nothing. You need to check under the screw-on radiator cap and make sure it’s full. (Bet it’s not if leaking the way you said it was)

Ya I checked that, fluids right there and only went down about an inch in the overflow reservoir tank.pressure pump test was done at the last place and they said it was leaking. So while not too bad right now I'm thinking the problem could get worse. For the amount i'm finding on the floor after driving it is odd that the fluid level hasnt went down alot.

Have you looked at the windshield washer fluid reservoir? The pump motor has a seal that tends to break.
The AC runs in defrost and recirc.

Those are the only "clear" fluids.
The coolant level in the expansion bottle will change depending on the temperature of the coolant. Engine hot; level high. Engine cold; level lower.

I don't use the window washer fluid, The fluid on the floor is kind clear not blue or dexcool orange unless dexcool changes color after circulating. I don't think it's the AC as I dont use that or the defrost but it's on recirc, somebody posted a photo of the ac drain spout, so it maybe that, or the waterpump
