I dont run the AC so I doubt it's the compressor? however the recirc in cabin light is on, can't turn it off, it's either the "from the outside" button light or the "recirc in cabin" button light, but the AC is off. what about an exhaust leak where pipe is connected upfront could there be fluid coming from that?

Last time.
When the selector is in recirculation mode, the AC Compressor IS ON. Regardless if the AC is on or off.

ah! well then would that be where the fluid is coming from the compressor? should I press the "from the outside" button and keep it on that to turn it off?

Firemangeorge, why would there be small puddles of water if it's because the ac compressor is on??

Condensation. All AC compressors produce condensation. Cars, home Hvacs. Ever noticed the drain pipes from a home AC dripping when it痴 running ? Same thing with cars. It was talked about earlier in this thread. Did you forget about the drain location on your car ?
Honestly. I have to ask. Is this your 1st car ? Haven稚 owned it long ? Your questions seem to be from someone who痴 never been around vehicles.

If the AC compressor is running condensation is being produced in the drain pan. The drain pan dumps the condensate through the tube on the firewall.
It does not matter whether you use the washer or not; if the motor leaks it leaks all of the time.

Those are the only sources of clear fluid from under the hood

Unless you have only water in the cooling system.
