ignition cyl replaced, now no electrical...expert advise plz
A week ago had the ignition cylinder replaced when the key got stuck while the engine was running ... went to get into the 08 LT and no power (no locks, etc), got it started after a few tries....couple of days later was driving and no power, everything dead but the radio and the key is stuck again...pulled over and got the key out with the under steering column trick...jump started fine...had it towed to the shop...Any advice as to what's going on before I talk to the mechanic in the am....thx
Who replaced the ignition switch? Was it done via the warranty replacement at a GM dealership?
How old is the battery? Have you had it tested (it will need to be charged before testing)? The shop needs to charge and test the battery, and also check the charging from the alternator. If they are both up to specs, then they will need to check for a parasitic draw.
Are you sure you haven't left something plugged into the power port in the dash such as a cell phone charger or GPS?

Was this the recall?
The "key stuck" extended warranty ended in 2014. But the ignition cylinder recall is still active.
You didn't pay to have the ignition switch changed did you?
A dead battery will cause the key to be stuck.
Please use more words so we can understand what is going on. In any case, if it doesn't work right after a shop worked on it you should go back and get it fixed.
