I’m working the weekend to help a co-worker out so she could have Christmas with her children this weekend.

No shut down for the Social Media department. We have to be here for all of you guys throughout the holidays. Lol

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well.

Save your invoice there is a recall on these. GM has a reimbursement request form.

reimbursement

Guys,

To those of you who received a check, how long did it take? We got the switch done for free but had to have it towed.

It is the $114 tow I'd like to get back and supposedly the dealer took care of it.........I guess.

Thanks,
QR

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get reimbursed for the tow. I don't recall ever seeing anything about the towing being covered in the bulletin(s).

I had mine changed out under the recall several months ago. My key would not work again last week for the first time since. So I'm not sure they fixed it. Had to auto start it from inside the car, then reinsert the key to get the cylinder to turn.

Look in the back of your owners Manual, Chapter & page: 7-6 Roadside Assistance Program. 1.800.CHEV-USA aka (1.800.243.8872)

Free Towing is covered for 5 yr / 100K, up to $100.

I believe another member WAS refunded his towing costs for this same covered repair

Same here. Wife came in and said she can't shut her 10 HHr off. I went out and the switch plain ol doesn't work. It turns freely but does nothing. We took it to our local shop as there is no dealer within 20 miles, they disconnected the battery and are going to call us after doing a scan.
I called CCC and the girl was very nice. I told her what I had read on this forum and gave her several numbers = 1205 recall, and 09-02-35-005c
she said nothing comes up.

update later.

have a good day

KK4

update = just got done talking to CCC they said I have special coverage on that part for 4 more years.
Well see what happens. Who woulda thunk ?

GM will pay if the tow is arranged through the RAP. If you arranged a tow w/o GM's assistance, you might have been reimbursed when GM was a little more into the 'goodwill' thing but I don't see that happening now.
