IMCO-T924 and ABS Line

Last week I took NEMO in for his 24,000 mile check up.

What the Dealer found was not normal!

I have an IMCO-T924 Muffler, which was installed on 11-11-06. Love the sound.
I then Leveled NEMO with the Gold Line Leveling Springs on 5-7-07. Really love the Look!

What the Service guys showed me was that the Muffler had MELTED part of the ABS Harness on the Muffler side.
No the line it self was not damaged, but it could have been.

One of the guys Jack and I worked on it to see how to fix the problem, a clip pulling the Harness away from the Muffler was the only fix.

What it looks like is the Muffler was installed to far back, and the edge was hitting the harness.

I have no idea as to how long this has been going on.

Jack seems to think that all would have been well except that I Leveled NEMO.

So all is fixed in a way.

Still Leveled, new cat back on the way to replace the IMCO.

Total Dealer cost for finding a potental problem ZERO.

It took an extra 30 minutes before we found a fix.

Just look at your Muffler and the ABS line and make sure they do not meet!

Funny how a simple change can have such unintended consequences.

You should take a big 'ol box of doughnuts to those good folks in the service dept.
