IMCO T924 muffler installed

took it in at 9 30 like he asked me and Jerry was great and a fellow Goldwinger, WOOOOOOOOOOOOT.
made it even better

he has been doing mufflers and custom work for over 30 years. nice
family shop him and his help outside and his wife inside.

i pulled in and he said one didnt show so i was next and they drove
it as we were talking inside.

he did a great job on alignment, asked me if i liked it on all steps, and
then when he got the muffler aligned and tip right, he tacked the tip on
so it wouldnt move.

as soon as they started it to drive it out,,, man what a nice low sound
on idle and starting. nice low howl when you take off,,, what i want and
the cool thing is it is quieter at cruising speed.

what a nice addition and making it sound like a nice beefy engine.
pick up is better 0 to 60 seems quicker and i need to find a 1/4 mile
somewhere to get a time on it now.

less weight, nicer sound, better power and pick up and looks awesome,,,
what is not to like and the bonus for me it is from the town my Family
started in when they moved from German and Czechoslavakia to Texas

it turned out great and I LOVE it.

mike put the same one on his LT2 2.4 so you use the same.
i talked to Cowboy on the cell and he heard it and loved it.

the sound clips are accurate and maybe even a little brighter on idle

Jerry said that the pipes under were 1 3/4 and this is 2 1/4 so they made a lil swedged converter extension off the original pipe to make it fit. took like 2 minutes. he used the original hangars and just bent hangar rods to make it hit and line up. he had to bend the exhaust hangar in front of the muffler a little to get it in the middle.

he gave me enough room to clean around and it looks good.

got a car show tonight at 5 to 5 30 and this will be the first car show since i got the front seats done. Next weekend or tomorrow afternoon i do the rear seat.

Man this things sounds good. just got back from getting some brisket to smoke and then bake in the oven for tomorrow. i love the low idle. It turned heads,,, was cool

WOOOOOOOOOOOOT

Funny Musician Update on the IMCO T924

Pitch on the muffler is now Ab,,, one note below the tuning Bb on my tuba. it pitched an A for like 15 seconds and then settled on Ab... good brass tone

AWESOME find
Love it more now
