Every battery I have had that has failed, did fail during Michigan winters. A trickle charger for long winter nights would at least keep the battery at full charge.

All I can say is there is nothing, repeat, nothing worse than a vehicle that won't start. Run rough, stall, whatever, get me to the dealer or where I'm going, or at least out of my ****ing driveway.

I think *that* emotional state along with spending all that money may have tainted my outlook on the HHR puny battery and it's location so far from the starter....
man, I remember this **** from the clunkers I had as a teenager.

PROLOGUE: With the replaced battery, it does indeed feel the battery is up to the job, at least as much as any other vehicle. :-)
