Second time broke-drivers side again. First time didnt matter since it was covered by warranty. Now I am really pissed that the chrome plastic piece is not sold separately. Kind of reminds me of the plastic piece for the sunroof wind deflector (which also broke and is not sold by itself either). How can a company make plastic parts, which they know will break, and not make them serviceable? If they were metal like the rest of the assembly, then it would make sense. But the weakest link should be replaceable.

While I am going to try to repair it (see HowTo thread) I really do need a new door panel, since right after my warranty ended, my arm rest developed a huge crack in it.

I have my passenger side that broke off a while back and kept looking all over the place for it but only found the whole door panel. I looked today and found that Rock Auto actually sells just the door handle mechanism. It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it.
