I have a 2008 LT 2.4 with 75K miles and sound's like a good sewing machine.
No noise, very quiet always.

Can a bad Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve cause the engine to miss?

They can cause rough idle and poor fuel mileage , hard starting because the timing is off.

When I bought Gregg, I got him from a big ford dealer which has a very good reputation in Tampa Bay. I got a check engine light the night after I got it home. It turned out to be the VVT solenoids, but I instantly knew that they had most likely been clearing the stored code, or cleared it just prior to me taking ownership. Of course I bought it in 2013, a 2006 model year, as is. Of course Gregg had the clunk as well, but these issues are easily repaired.

The intake and exhaust solenoids were just replaced, but the check engine light is still on. Did you have to drive it soo many minutes or get the parts programmed?
-Thanks!
