Interior lights turning on by themselves

My interior lights turn on while I'm driving. Its a real problem at night coz of the bright LEDs in my map lights. I had to remove them so I can see out the windows. At first it was rare and random, but now I realize that its being affected by my driver seat. I can literally turn the lights on and off just by moving my big ol butt. But most of the time now they stay on more than off. Anyone else have had this problem?

Interesting. There is a ground wire point under the drivers seat that is part of the interior lights wiring circuit. That ground harness could be loose or just not making a good connection.
You could have one of the interior lamps switches in the "on" position, then when you move your drivers seat around it allows that ground to make a connection and turn on the lamps.

The interior lamps can be turned to "on" by the lamps switch itself, the door jamb switches or the dimmer wheel on the dash.

I would check that ground connection 1st, then check to see if the lamps are in that "on" setting.
