Hello all thanks for all the info I've found so far. My car has been intermittently going bonkers at idle. It'll go reduced engine power, and then shut down. After a few mins to hours all is well again til next time. It's brought up codes p0452, p0341, p01682. Each time it's always p0452 & p01682 accompanied together only once did i get the camshaft code along with it. I know bad wiring can cause this issue. My fuse box does have play if I wiggle up and down. Could that be the root cause, or is a little play normal? Also the wire that runs from the fuse box to the starter is lose at the starter, but the starter never gives me issues. It's also lose at the fuse box. The part the nut screws onto up there at the fuse box is broken as well. Any suggestions, and sorry if it's hard to read i suck at describing this kinda thing. If you zoom in on this photo you can see its cracked at that part that goes around the stud. Almost as if the terminal is broke in half.
I should also add. That terminal on the fuse box. The bit that's broke came off and I thought it was a washer until I went to put another on to replace and realized its indeed not a washer.
Put the two red wires back on the fuse box terminal and tighten them together 15 ft lbs is enough so finger tight then 1/4 to 1/2 a turn. The wire at the starter must also be tight! Now on to that fuse box, take a 7mm 1/4 drive socket and ratchet and tighten the 4 bolts in the fuse box.
Now, push all fuses and relays firmly into place in the fuse box. This is a very common issue, we have these problems pop up 2 or 3 times a week. I suggest you disconnect the negative terminal at the battery while you’re working on the wiring at the fuse box and starter. Check the alternator connection as well. Then reattach the battery negative cable .
The P1682 points to bad electrical connections to the ignition switch, that could be in the fuse box
The P0641 points to bad electrical connections, probably in that pesky fuse box.
same with the P0341 and the cam shaft position sensor.
Now don’t go chasing rabbits in the dark, tighten those 4 bolts! Donbrew knows a thing or 2 about that and so do I . So many change all kinds of parts and then tighten those four bolts , problem solved but you really can’t return those electrical sensors now can you.
