Wink Issues with Dalight running lights

Question I did the first upgrade on my car this weekend. I installed Ballast light I guess that is what they are called. All I know is thet they are blue color and they are 8,000K. I believe that is what the guy told me. The only problem is that when my light come on automatically the left had side bulb will start flashing. I took it back to the guy and he installed a Daylight running light adapter that over writes the daylight feature and I should not have the lights come on during the day. The weird part is that it does not work. The light are still on. It does not flash anymore like before. DO you guys think I will be safe like that or shoud I just get a refund and leave the car just like it was with the OEM light installed??

let me know thanks

John

I'm guessing you installed HID's. If so, they do not like being used as DRL.

DRL usually run in a low power setting, something HID's do not like. HID's do like to be turned on/off frequently (flashing). Both of the above will cause HID's to burn out fast.

You need to disable your DRL's. I think there is a fuse, but my DRL are my front parking lights on the 06.

Also, aim your lights down, HID's blind oncoming cars when used in housing not designed for HID's. The glare is a...........

8K's should really make you stand out as that is not a normal color in stock HID systems.
