jerking randomly
jerking randomly
the car will jerk a lot after 15 -45 min of driving. happens when breaking accelerating and coasting. almost like transmission is slipping but I don't think thats it. maybe drive shaft??? code says miss fireing on a cylinder cant remember which
It's probably tied into the misfire code. The code will indicate which cylinder(s) are misfiring.
P0301 = cyl 1, p0302 = cyl 2 etc.
P0300 indicates a random misfire across multiple cylinders.
Find out what the code was - and consider replacing the spark plug for that cylinder, and swapping the coil packs between the offending cylinder to another cylinder to see if the problem follows the coil swap.
You don't mention what year, mileage, 2.0L Turbo, 2.2L or 2.4L engine. ?????? Some 2.2L engines don't have individual coil packs so one cannot swap them between cylinders.
Being this sounds more like an engine problem, this thread has been moved to the Problems/Service/Repairs section.
