ignition stuck

My 2008 hhrs ignition stuck in the run position last night..like many others I had to pull fuse and battery cable to shut down car...I'm at the dealership now..awaiting word from warranty company if it is a covered repair...keeping my fingers crossed..
It was worth a try..got shot down by warranty company.. may I ask what is the difficulty level for replacing the ignition switch?

Welcome to the site.
It should be covered by Chevrolet under the recent recall/program. No need to go through your ex. warranty. Your dealer SHOULD know about this.
Also should be no charge or deductable.

Not sure on that. Usually our gracious site Admin., ChevyMgr can answer those kind of questions.
Best to get it fixed, then if you find later it was recall eligible, then you can file for a refund.
The great members of this forum can help you with that also.

@1900colt, it's great you have found a wonderful dealership that treats you right and takes care of your vehicle. If you would like me to forward along a compliment to the dealership please, let me know.

I love this site. Information like this is one of the reasons I won't own a car that doesn't have an active forum.

Power to the People!
