Knocking noise when accelerating/slowing down
Front end
From reading the messages on these forums, it would appear that just about any part in the front end of the vehicle can, and frequently does, go bad in unknown combinations. Motor mounts, hubs, brakes and calipers, sway bar links, the list seems endless. So far, the only symptom my car has is mild brake pulsation when I stop with a medium amount of force, and as long as it doesn't get any worse I plan to ignore it until my brake pads wear out.
Well, I am going to take it to a different shop. The dealer I was dealing with is no help @ all. I don't think I will ever go back there. Can anyone answer a question for me? I was talking to a service advisor trying to explain my problem and he told me that once the car is off warranty the parts are as well. I asked him if I had parts replaced that day and my warranty expired the following week would that mean that the parts warranty expired as well, and he said yes. So even though I had this problem fixed a few months ago the parts are not covered cause the warranty is up. Could someone tell me if this is accurate? And is this with most car manufacturers? Seems kinda ridiculous to me.
