So the problems that you know you still have are:
1. Driver's door will not open from inside Door panel removal thread
2. Rear windows are not functioning properly
3. Check engine light is on (and message in DIC about gas cap)

I still don't get the remote start part. The stock remote start receiver is under the bump in the headliner and is a part of the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver. But a 2010 may have come without from the factory. So, it is an after market add on, don't blame GM.

There could be a gap in the fuel filler tube that could cause a check gas cap.

Rear window not operating the regulator or motor is probably broken or binding.

i had to have a part in the door fixed(done)

yes, my remote start is aftermarket, in which case ^^ i had mentioned above, that it wasn't the remote start that i was unable to fix, it was the power seat not moving, after i had moved it all the way back. in which case-- since my original post I've fixed. i popped the side piece of plastic out above the switch for the power seat, and snapped the plug back into the switch!(done)

the back windows aren't functioning at all not - my neighbor is going to try and replace the regulator on the windows, but how can i tell if its the motor or the regulator? or are they the same and i just don't know. like i said, I've never had this problem with any car I've owned!

I've driven on the "check gas cap" check engine lights for over a year with no problems, it's just that light is annoying!

So did you just fix several of these issues yesterday, or did we just waste our time researching and trying to diagnose issues that you fixed long ago?

If you have a faulty fill tube you may be in danger.

Did you check the metal at the top for crud. The cap can't seal if there are chunks of crud on the filler.

if you wasted your time, it's not my fault... my post was merely a rundown of all the problems i've had with my car, that i was upset with because i love my car! just had a lot of trouble!

i am able to get a brand new cap on without any obstructions.
next time i gas up i will wipe off the opening! thanks

So much for personal responsibility.

One last suggestion, for next time. Start by saying "here is the history of this car, blah, blah, blah"

"These are the issues I am currently experiencing,
1. Blah, blah.
2. Blah, blah, blah."

Quit clearing the code - get it read and get the problem fixed. "check gas cap" does not mean a whole lot - it's the CEL code that tells what is wrong (or reasonably close).

Your last question was about the window motor vrs regulator - yes they are different things - one is a motor and the other is the mechanism that the motor uses to raise/lower the window. Which is bad? Let your friend figure it out - it could be a switch or wiring to add to the list of possible problems.

I think you have enough suggestions to get you on your way.
