Just thought I would bring up an Old issue of the steering column.

My 2010 1LT has 23,000 miles on it and for the last 4,000 miles I have noticed the symptoms from the steering column rattle on certain types of road surface. Mostly parking lots with crushed rock.
Not to the point where it is a really Big Deal, but the Bumper to Bumper Warranty is about to run out because of time and I thought I would make an attempt to get the column replaced now.
I called first to alert the Dealer about the issue and they set up an appointment to test the car.
Sure enough, they agreed and ordered the parts.
Set up a new appointment when the parts came in and took it in.
3 hours later it was done and in my possesion.
They informed me that they also did a 4 way alignment at no charge to complete the job properly.
I must say that it totally firmed up the steering, It tracks perfect going down the hiway and it eliminated the noise completely.
A Great Dealer response sure make you feel GOOD.
I now have an HHR without and squeak or rattle of any kind again.
Solid and tight.
