Not entirely sure what all that entails, I've seen diagrams and listened to what she told me. But I'll ask soon. These guys don't like wasting anyone's time though, replacing something to fix this hole wasn't necessary, they wouldn't do it.

It means the pipes from the flange with the two bolts in it under the centre of the HHR to the rear of the car.

The pipe is one piece then the muffler slides onto that pipe

as I posted earlier, this entails a gasket, two bolts and a muffler clamp, easy peasey

Yup, that's what they're replacing. They said it's the most.. Idk, thorough thing to do since they're connected with the heat shield. Tbh I agree, the whole situation needed to get replaced.

So I got it fixed, the resonator and muffler. It's not as quiet as it used to be, but definitely improved from when it was broken. Is that just because I didn't get the exact same parts the car came with?

You could have gotten cheap knock off parts , but you trust these folks! Ask them to check to see if there is an exhaust leak at the pipe to muffler or the flange after the catalytic converter.
There could also now be the gasket up at the manifold leaking, mine blew out last April, it was new, hey it happens!
You have a 2.4, did they order the correct parts
2.2 has 1 3/4 inch pipe with a 12 inch resonator
2.4 has 2 1/4 inch pipe with a 24 inch resonator

They definitely ordered for the 2.4 :) I've been thinking I'm just paranoid because honestly how often did I ever go around to the back of the car to listen to the exhaust? Never haha. I only noticed it a few days ago because it was louder. To even notice it now, you have to go around to the back, and comparing it to a video I took a few days ago, it's definitely better now.

Ok, that makes sense. I’m always alert to new noises when I get exhaust work done!
I don’t like surprises, that gasket blew out in vacation last spring, I spent a 1/2 day at a muffler shop having the gasket replaced , which I just installed 3 days earlier.
